1822/37 A magnificent set of 6 Georgian Dessert/Berry Spoons.

A magnificent set of 6 Georgian Dessert/Berry Spoons.

Silver Gilt bowls although this has faded over time.

Most unusually 5 of the Spoons are made by Thomas & George Hayter and have hallmarks for London 1822 or thereabouts. Then there is another Spoon made by Mary Chawner and hallmarked for 1837.

I can only assume the spoon was specially commissioned by Mary Chawner to make up the set of 6 again at a later date as every little detail is identical to the earlier Spoons.

The craftsmanship and detail of the fruit are exceptionally worked.

Each Spoon is 14cm in length and the combined weight of silver is 111g.

A lovely set of Spoon's will grace any collection.

Please note that all old silver will have certain signs of age and use, they will not be perfect or as new. We will however detail and show in pictures anything we consider significant.
